Build storm shelters via local school district funding

The safety and security of all Oklahomans is not a Democrat issue or a Republican issue. It is an Oklahoma issue. It's an issue you can count on me to champion every time.

Whether it's storm shelters for all Oklahoma children, or a functional corrections system, as Governor I will be on the side of the people and fight for the best interest of everyday, hard-working Oklahomans.

As the state that sits in the middle of Tornado Alley, it is time for safe and structurally sound storm shelters--using the most up to date building codes and technology to be built in each of our schools.

I have a plan to use the existing corporate franchise tax, to allocate funds for local school districts to use in constructing these new storm shelters. If ever there were a time for us to do something big, something on a grand scale, now is the time and this is the issue.
